ॐ Om Shri Ganeshaya Namah  Dedicated to Lord Ganesha is an auspicious day of Sankatahara Chaturthi. This month it falls on Wednesday the July 12. This day is observed in every lunar month of the Hindu calendar on the fourth day of Krishna Paksha (dark lunar phase or the waning phase). Fasting is an integral part of this day and Lord Ganesha devotees break this fast only upon having the auspicious sight of the moon preceded by prayers to Ganesha.
